WHAT IS TEXAN SMART?
Texan Smart Financial Education Center is located in the Thompson Student Center Room 12 on Tarleton State University’s Stephenville campus. There we provide finance-focused workshops and peer-to-peer coaching appointments, both designed to develop Tarleton students’ positive financial practices and money management knowledge.
OUR PURPOSE
The purpose of the Texan Smart Financial Education Center is to promote financial wellness and well-being among students which directly impacts student learning and success. Through the center, Tarleton students can attend workshops aimed at improving financial practices and one-on-one financial coaching to aid in the development of individualized financial wellness. Texan Smart Financial Education Center was developed as a means to provide support and guidance on items pertinent to students’ financial well-being that will have lasting effects past graduation.
