Deadlines
Do not wait until the deadline day to submit your application. No late applications will be accepted. There are three application periods per year: Spring, Summer, and Fall. Applications can be turned into Suite 101 in the Math Building or submitted by email to [email protected].
If the deadline falls on a weekend or a day that the Tarleton is closed, applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m., on the next day Tarleton is open following the deadline.

Steps to Apply / Applications
For Interdisciplinary Studies / Elementary: EC-6, 4-8, Special Education
Applications will be accepted by email or in-person in Math 101. Digital signatures are acceptable.
- Contact your advisor/mentor to set up an appointment to complete your application.
- Make sure all transfer work is showing on your Tarleton transcript.
- Follow all departmental instructions for your departmental screening.
- When you meet with your mentor, make sure your mentor signs your checklist, and acknowledgements form.
- Email to [email protected] or bring the rest of the application to Room 101 of the Math Building or if you are at the Fort Worth or Waco location, please check with your advisor/mentor for instructions on where to submit early to have them mailed to the Stephenville campus before the deadline. Applications will not be accepted late.
Even though it is not part of the application, please review your certificate plan.
For Secondary/All Level: 6-12 Ag Food & Nat Resources, 7-12 Certificates, All Level Art, Music, PE, Spanish, Theatre (All Level Special Ed uses the Elementary Application)

- Contact your advisor/mentor and make any necessary arrangements to complete the departmental screening.
- Complete the Secondary / All-Level Application packet
- Use your transcript or Degree Evaluation to complete your certificate plan. You must include Ds and Fs that drop to the bottom.
- When you meet with your departmental advisor, make sure your advisor signs your checklist and certificate plan, completes the verification of successful completion of departmental screening form or makes arrangements to complete it at a later date, and completes any necessary substitution forms.
- Email to [email protected] or bring your completed application, certificate plan, and departmental screening form (if ready) to Room 101 of the Math Building. Please do not wait until the deadline day.
Important Reminders
- Beginning with Summer 2017 applications, students admitted into the Teacher Education Program will be charged a TEA ASEP Technology Fee in addition to the $35 application fee. The application fee is charged each time a student makes application; the TEA ASEP Technology fee is only charged at the point of admission.
