How to Apply for Tarleton State Scholarships: One Application, 600+ Opportunities

About 80 percent of Tarleton State’s students receive financial aid including over $20 million in Tarleton State and private scholarships each year. 

With the submission of one application, you are unlocking the opportunity to apply for over 600 (Tarleton) scholarships!  

But how?

Applying For Scholarships

First things first, you’ll need to visit the Tarleton State Scholarship webpage. (Don’t worry, we have you covered. Click here to start your application/follow along.)

Next, you’re going to select which application you need based on your aid year.

 If you are a student enrolled or planning to enroll in courses for Fall 2025, Spring 2026, or Summer 2026, you will fill out the 25/26 Academic Year Application. If you are a student enrolled or planning to enroll in courses for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027, you’ll need to fill out the 26/27 Academic Year Application. Students attending both years need to complete both applications.

Once you make it to the scholarships portal sign in using your NTNET information. After you’re signed in, you’ll have access to your applications, awards, if you receive any, and a long list of Tarleton State scholarships. 

After submitting your General Scholarship Application online, you’ll be automatically matched with eligible college scholarships based on your information—no need to apply individually. 

Checking Your Application Status

So you’ve submitted your general scholarship application. Now what? No need to obsessively check your email or Texan Bill pay. 

You can check your application status right there in the scholarship portal!

Tarleton State Scholarships

Tarleton State Promise Program : The Tarleton State Promise Program provides a last-dollar tuition grant to students who enroll at Tarleton State as a first-time freshman and who meet the criteria listed here. Tarleton will cover the remaining bill amount after the student’s scholarships, grants and exemptions are applied, including meal plans.   

President’s Guaranteed Scholarship Program – Freshmen: The President’s Guaranteed Scholarship Program aligns with the 120-year vision of Tarleton’s founder and benefactor to provide a high-quality university education to students who otherwise might not have the chance. Tarleton State will guarantee scholarship levels to entering first-time freshmen who graduate in the top half of their high school class. 

President’s Guaranteed Scholarship Program – Transfers: To be considered, students must be admitted to Tarleton State, have 30 transferable hours completed prior to registration and complete the general scholarship application. Awards will be divided between fall and spring semesters based on full-time enrollment and be renewable ​for up to 3 years with satisfactory academic progress. 

President’s Guaranteed Scholarship Program – Masters Degree:  Similarly to the guaranteed undergraduate program, the guaranteed master’s program aligns with the 120-year vision of Tarleton’s founder and benefactor to provide a high-quality university education to students who otherwise might not have the chance. This includes enabling students to pursue an advanced degree which is necessary in many fields. Tarleton State University will guarantee scholarship levels to students earning a new master’s, second master’s or returning master’s degree. In order to be considered, students must complete the general scholarship application and submit a FAFSA, if eligible to apply for federal aid.
