Rural Communication Week will be held November 18-22, 2019 on the Tarleton State University campus and through virtual sessions on Facebook Live. The Rural Communication Institute (#ThinkRuralComm) is focused on helping people live, learn, and thrive in rural areas of Texas, the United States, and beyond.

Mission

  • To serve as the primary resource for rural communication in the United States while connecting individuals in rural areas to resources to help them live, learn, and thrive.

Objectives

  • To provide undergraduate research experiences for Tarleton State University.
  • To serve as a informational resource for governmental organizations (national, state, local), educational institutions, and non-profit organizations.
  • To serve as a rural communication training and development resource for the greater Texas business and non-profit community (including One-Day Workshops for Communication Professionals, Two-Day Rural Communication Camps, and Rural Communication Audits).
