Master of Education in Educational Administration
Our accredited, online master’s degree in educational administration prepares aspiring educational administrators to transform the lives of students in their schools by helping them gain new skills and in-depth knowledge in educational leadership. Overview
In our online program, you can earn an MEd with a principal certification. If your goal is to be an EC–12 leader at the campus level, the Principal Certification Program will prepare you for the TExES Principal Exam, a requirement for obtaining Texas principal certification.
Delivery
Online delivery: utilizing Tarleton course delivery system, Canvas, you will complete modules related to specific content as determined by the State of Texas (principal competencies) and an advisory committee.
Site-based projects: course-related projects to be completed using local district data.
Simulations: activities related to competencies identified by the State of Texas and an advisory committee.
Field Experience: planned activities at the school district level designed to provide you with practicing school superintendents. A minimum of 60 clock hours of field experience is required.

Overview
The concentration in higher education leadership is designed to prepare professionals for expertise in leadership across college and university campuses, addressing critical issues facing postsecondary education in public policy, governance, finance, law, and student services.
You will examine higher education from a number of perspectives as you develop leadership skills for career enhancement and advancement:
- Understanding the development of higher education as crucial global institution
- Developing leadership on college and university campuses;
- Examining state and federal policies and processes applied to higher education;
- Exploring factors influencing budgeting and budget decisions; and
- Identifying best practices in student services.

Overview
The Master of Education in Educational Technology Leadership prepares educators and other professionals to use technology in meaningful ways to support teaching, learning, and leadership. Whether working in K-12 education, higher education, or another learning environment, this program will help students build practical skills for leading with the use of technology.
Throughout the program, students will explore current and emerging technologies while learning how to make thoughtful decisions about when and how technology should be used. Students will also develop skills that can help support colleagues, improve learning experiences, and take on technology leadership roles within the school or organization.
The M.Ed. in Educational Technology Leadership student will:
- Use technology to create engaging and effective learning experiences;
- Explore new and emerging technologies and consider how they can be used in educational or organizational settings;
- Support educators and colleagues through technology training and professional development
- Evaluate digital tools and resources to determine how well they meet the needs of learners and organizations; and
- Promote responsible and ethical uses of technology, including artificial intelligence.

Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership
Through the Dennis P. McCabe Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership, you’ll graduate from Tarleton as a scholar-practitioner leader. You will be well-equipped to apply theory, professional knowledge and practice in transforming educational organizations, guiding change and addressing problems of practice through scholarship and systematic methodologies.
