Scholarships and Financial Aid
There are ample opportunities for Tarleton students to receive scholarships. All students are encouraged to apply, however any student receiving institutional scholarships valued at $5,000 or more is generally not eligible for other institutional scholarships. Military Related Options
The Hazelwood Act is a State of Texas benefit that provides qualified Veterans, spouses and dependent children with an education benefit of up to 150 hours of tuition exemption, including most fee charges, at public institutions of higher education in Texas. This does not include living expenses, books, or supply fees. Learn more about the Hazlewood Act.
The Texas Armed Services Scholarships Program (TASSP) is a scholarship available to any Texas resident who is interested in pursuing a commission in one of the Armed Services or, upon graduation, who will join the:
- Texas Army National Guard,
- Texas Air National Guard,
- Texas State Guard,
- U.S. Merchant Marines, or
- U.S. Coast Guard.
One of the requirements for this scholarship is to enroll in ROTC classes, which is also a requirement for those who join the Corps of Cadets. Find out more about the TASSP.
