Letter From A Senior: How Tarleton State has felt like home

As I step into my final semester here at Tarleton State, I’ve been reflecting on the memories I’ve made throughout my time here.

When people ask me why I chose Tarleton and if I’ve enjoyed being here, my answer is always that Tarleton has always just felt like home.

I met my best friends at Duck Camp, I found my fiancé at the Twist, and I’ve been able to build stronger relationships with lifelong friends. Along with those relationships, Tarleton has provided me with so many opportunities, big and small.

Two standout things from my college career are my study abroad trip to Ireland, thanks to a generous donor, and two great internships found through the DSPCOB.

Tarleton has felt like home in a lot of small ways as well. I have always been fully supported by my professors, and have been able to count on them when I need help. I’ve always loved the smaller size of Tarleton because it feels so much more personal and I get so much more out of it. I’ve also been able to meet so many different people from the area, and every single one of them has made me feel right at home.

There’s so much more I could say about my experience, but Tarleton has given me my best friends and my best memories and I would choose it 100 times over!
