Fossil Rim Wildlife Center looks forward to your visit!
In appreciation for all you do for Tarleton State, please enjoy free admission for employees and their families on any day between May 10-23, 2025, for our self-guided drive.
The park entrance is open between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm every day.
Must exit the park by 6:30 PM
Fossil Rim limits the vehicles entering the park by the hour. If the park is busy, you may be required to wait until the next available time. For questions regarding vehicle restrictions, please visit our website: www.fossilrim.org/road-rules
Most guests spend about 2 hours on the self-guided drive. Additional time may be spent at the Overlook area (Nature Store, Cafe, Children’s Animal Center, and trails), which is halfway through the drive.
- Enter at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center’s main entrance located at 2299 County Road 2008, Glen Rose, TX 76043.
- Park and walk into the Admissions building.
- Present your TSU ID. Fossil Rim staff will print off a ticket for your family to enjoy the self-guided drive.
- Drive to the “Check In” building at the corner of the parking lot, present your ticket, and staff will give you a bag of animal food.
