Between classes, work, family and friends, there is a lot to balance as a college student. When
things start to feel overwhelming, you don’t have to figure everything out on your own. Tarleton
State Fort Worth offers a variety of free academic and professional resources designed to help

Tutoring and Learning Center

Need a little extra help with a class? The Tutoring and Learning Center, located in CAB 225,
offers free tutoring to Tarleton State students through both in-person and online sessions. Fort
Worth students can work with tutors for a variety of courses, with additional courses available
online.

Tutoring is available by appointment, and the courses offered can change each semester.
Students can check the Tutoring and Learning Center website to see which courses are
currently available and find information about scheduling a session.
The center also offers Supplemental Instruction (SI) for select courses. Fort Worth students can
virtually join SI sessions through Zoom for courses including BIOL 2401, CHEM 1302, MATH
1314 and MATH 1342. SI sessions provide another way to review course material, prepare for
tests and learn alongside other students.

Whether you need help understanding a difficult topic or simply want another way to review
before an exam, tutoring is a resource you can take advantage of throughout the semester.

Writing Center

Have a paper coming up? The University Writing Center can help you become a stronger and
more confident writer at any stage of the writing process.

Students can schedule face-to-face or virtual appointments through EAB Navigate. The Writing
Center also offers an online submission option, allowing students to email their papers to
writingcenter@tarleton.edu for feedback. When submitting a paper, students can include their
assignment details and rubric so consultants can provide feedback specific to the assignment.
Whether you need help with grammar, organization, citations or simply want another set of eyes
on your paper, the Writing Center is there to help you put your best work forward.

Career Center

Your college experience is about more than earning a degree. It is also an opportunity to build
the skills and experience you will need for your future career.

The Texan Career & Professional Success Center helps students explore career options, build
professional skills, gain experience and connect with opportunities.
Students can receive support with resumes, interviews and their overall job search, making the
Career Center a great resource whether you are applying for your first internship or getting
ready to enter the workforce.

The Career Center also provides opportunities to prepare for life after college through career
assessments, training programs and job simulations. Students should also keep an eye out for
on-campus and virtual career fairs, where they can connect with potential employers and
explore career opportunities.

The Career Center is located in CAB 307. Students must schedule an appointment. To do so
contact Madason Kunn at Kunn@tarleton.edu or 817-717-3317, or Anmol Mullins at
sw_amullins@tarleton.edu.
