Taking Tarleton to New Frontiers
The TexanSat Laboratory was established in 2023 following the Mayfield College of Engineering’s involvement with the University Nanosatellite Program (UNP) Mission Concepts-1 Program. It marks the first official research lab established under MCOE.
The goal of the TexanSat Laboratory is to provide students in MCOE with top-of-the-line Systems Engineering training and Mission Development. Additionally, TexanSat seeks to provide both students and faculty with research opportunities in the field of space technology. Finally, TexanSat is keen on hosting the integration of small satellites for spacecraft development.
TexanSat bolsters connections with NASA, The US Space Force, and the US Air Force Research Lab.
