Science Achievement Center

The Science Achievement Center is a free tutoring center provided to Tarleton students! It is located in room 104 of the Science Building. Students can visit on a drop-in basis; however, schedules will vary depending on the subject in which they need assistance.

No appointment is necessary!

We have talented tutors in Chemistry and Biology. Listed below are the times you can visit with a tutor in your subject area during the fall semester. Come by and see us!

Want to Become a Tutor?

Qualifications:

  • Must have made a B or better in Chemistry related course
  • Chemistry, Biomedical Science, or Biology major (or related)
  • Must be in good academic standing

Job Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Helping students with science homework
  • Assisting students to find solutions to problems by looking at notes and consulting other tutors
  • Clearly explain topics, using various teaching techniques to cater to different learning styles.
  • Address student questions and concerns, clarifying course content, assignments, and homework.
  • Assist students in reviewing and completing assignments, offering guidance and feedback on their work.
