College of Science and Mathematics Summer Research Showcase – August 2023

The annual College of Science and Mathematics Summer Research Showcase in August of each year highlights the hard work of our faculty and students conducted primarily during the summer term. It provides an opportunity for College and University colleagues to celebrate our research efforts as well as providing students an opportunity to build and hone their communication skills.

The Showcase has two sessions – a 1-hour oral presentation session for up to 6 oral presentations and a poster session for as many people as are interested.  In addition, there will be a welcome back reception held after the showcase to kick-off the start of the 2022-2023 academic year.   The festivities will be held in the 1st floor of the Science Building. The schedule is shown below:

2:00-3:00 PM – Oral presentations (six 10-minute presentations: 8-minute presentation + 2 minutes for questions)

3:00-4:30 PM – Poster presentations

4:00-5:30 PM – Welcome back reception

Details for abstract submissions will be posted as we get closer to the 2023 event.  A small group of faculty and leadership will make the selection for the 6 oral presentations.  Please make sure to include with your abstracts the following information:
