Decision Day: Parent Edition

If you have a high school senior at home, you may have heard of Decision Day by now. National College Decision Day is a celebration when students across the country officially commit to the college or university they plan to attend in the Fall!

All first-time freshman students admitted to Tarleton State who complete the following will be placed on the official Decision Day list:

  1. Register for Texan Orientation
  1. Complete a housing application or submit an off-campus exemption form
  1. Sign up for Decision Day

Once these steps are complete, your student is officially part of the Tarleton State Class of 2030 celebration! Be sure to keep an eye on your mailbox for their official decision day celebration kit!

On May 1st, families and students celebrate together. Many students post photos wearing Tarleton State gear, holding their Decision Day gifts, or sharing senior photos using #tarletonbound.

As a parent, this is a meaningful moment. It represents years of hard work, growth, and preparation. It is also the beginning of a new chapter for your family!

    Encourage your student to:

    • Post a photo on May 1st with their Tarleton State swag
    • Use #tarletonbound

We are choosing to not only celebrate your student but also take a moment to say a big thanks to you for getting them here! Here are some digital downloads that we’ve made just for you!
