It’s the day you have been waiting for since the moment you were accepted at Tarleton State… IT’S MOVE-IN DAY!

Move-in day, though exciting, can be a bit stressful for new Texans who don’t know what to expect. First things first, it’s important to be well informed about what day/time you are scheduled to move-in.

Upon arrival at your designated unloading zone, you will receive a Welcome packet!
There will also be a team of move-in volunteers ready to help unload your car and take your items into your new room. During this process, it is imperative that at least one person stay in the vehicle at all times. (There is a two vehicle limit per student. No U-Hauls or trailers are permitted in the unloading zones.)
Once all items have been retrieved from the vehicle, the driver must move from the unloading zone to a parking lot. (All vehicles must remain out of designated loading zones until after 3 p.m. on Sunday.)
Before Move-In Arrival
BEFORE arriving to move-in, please make sure to box/tote all of your belongings securely. Ensure that all boxes are properly labeled with the student’s name, residence hall and room number. This will help move-in volunteers transfer your items with ease!
Although fluffy and loveable, it is imperative that you leave all furry friends at home on move-in day. Move-in day can be a long, hot process that is not designed for animals. (If permitted, you can transport your furry friend on a different day!)
Try connecting with your new roommate. Keep in mind that you and your roommate will have the same move-in date and time so it might help to already be somewhat acquainted before the big move.

After Move-In
Now that the hard part is over, it’s time to have a bit of fun. Grab some lunch, shop for some last-minute finds and check out what Stephenville has to offer.
