What is the Tarleton Rodeo Association?
The Tarleton Rodeo Association has been a proud part of a winning tradition since 1947, with Tarleton State teams winning 37 National Championships. We compete in the Southwest Region against 18 other collegiate rodeo programs.
What is NIRA?
The National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) oversees 11 regions, including the Southwest Region. It organizes competitions throughout the year, culminating in the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) for top-qualifying teams and individuals.
What and when is the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR)?
The CNFR is the grand finale of collegiate rodeo seasons, taking place in Casper, Wyoming, from June 9-15, 2024. Qualification is based on performances at 10 regional rodeos throughout the year.
What is the Tarleton Stampede?
The Tarleton Stampede, our regional finale, will take place from April 18-20, 2024, at the Lone Star Arena in Stephenville, Texas.
What is the event schedule for Tarleton Stampede?
- Thursday Night Performance at 7:30 PM
- Friday Morning Slack at 8:30 AM and Night Performance at 7:30 PM
- Saturday Morning Slack at 8:30 AM and Short Round Night Performance at 7:30 PM
Where do I purchase an admission ticket?
Admission tickets are purchasable at the door during the event.
Is there a bag policy?
No, there is no specific bag policy for entry during the rodeo events.
How does admission work?
Admission is granted through colored wristbands, with different colors representing different types of passes:
- Purple Wristband – Weekend Pass
- Red Wristband – Thursday Night
- Green Wristband – Friday Night
- Blue Wristband – Saturday Night
All contestants must show their NIRA card or wear their vest for entry.
Are there VIP sections?
Yes, VIP sections are exclusive to VIP members only, including access to a VIP bar. The general public can enjoy amenities and a bar set up near the vendor booths.
