Code Purple is a state-of-the-art emergency notification system that gives Tarleton State University the ability to communicate health and safety emergency information quickly, regardless of your location.

Users will receive notifications through text message and email of closings or delays due to weather, crime, or other events that pose a threat to those on or coming to campus.

All students, faculty, and staff:

  • information will remain private and won’t be sold or shared to third parties
  • have the right to opt-out of this service at any time
  • may add up to 2 cell phone numbers and 2 email addresses to their accounts by logging into e2Campus

Notification Types

Emergency Warning

Alerts campus to a confirmed significant emergency or dangerous situation involving an immediate threat to health or safety on campus.

Crime Alert

Notifies the campus community of any Clery Act crime as soon as the information is available so people can protect themselves and/or their property from similar crimes. Intended to inform people to be cautious, not to take immediate action.

Adverse Conditions

Issued when circumstances exist that do not represent an immediate threat to health or safety, yet action may enable people to protect themselves and/or their property. Includes adverse weather events, major campus utility outages or other situations that would require a change in the University’s normal operating status.

Informational

Informs campus when a situation is not an emergency or does not pose an immediate threat to the campus community but is of significant interest to campus. Examples include but are not limited to tests of the system, emergency response training, etc.
