Welcome to the Department of Military Science
Brach Night! Join us in the fall for a special moment as our senior cadets find out where in the Army they will serve!

Are you interested in becoming an Army leader?
Tarleton has participated in the Senior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) since 1917.
ROTC is the world’s premier leadership development program and the largest commissioning source for the United States Army. Upon graduation, students are commissioned as an Army second lieutenant.
ROTC scholarship programs enable qualified students to complete their degree plan along with a military science curriculum.

The Texan Battalion is dedicated to your academic success and leadership development within a traditional college experience. We look for leaders who want a challenging career in a noble profession that has no boundaries.
Army ROTC prepares you for service to the nation with marketable leadership skills and character traits valued by business, government and the military.
Become Texan Proud and make a difference as an Army leader!

In the Fall of 2022, the Texan Battalion had the unique privilege to PT in Tarleton’s new aquatics center with our Brigade Commander, Colonel Palmore and Command Sergeant Major Robles. Following the day, Cadets were given the opportunity to ask questions and gain life experience relating to their future carriers in the Army.
