Regents Approve Agricultural Sciences Building, Faculty Tenure and Promotions, and Office Naming

Office of the President header with the Tarleton State University Seal and the statement, Member of the Texas A and M University System since 1917.

Dear Colleagues,

With the spring semester behind us and another memorable academic year nearing its close, Tarleton State’s momentum continues. Today’s meeting reflected our shared commitment to academic excellence, faculty distinction and the continued transformation of lives across our great university.

I am pleased to share a historic milestone for Tarleton State University. The largest Permanent University Fund (PUF) project in our institution’s history, $100 million has been approved for a new Agricultural Sciences Building. Agriculture is the academic DNA of our institution. It was central to the vision of our founder, John Tarleton and it remains fundamental to who we are today. The Agricultural Sciences Building will serve as a welcoming gateway to the Tarleton State Stephenville campus and a cornerstone for the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

This significant investment reflects the unwavering support of Chancellor Glenn Hegar and the Texas A&M System Board of Regents for our continued growth. I am grateful for their leadership and confidence, which underscore our shared commitment to shaping the future of agriculture while honoring the vision that founded this university.

The regents also approved the naming of The Rocky and Tracey Hardin Faculty Office within the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business. This meaningful recognition honors the Hardins’ steadfast commitment to advancing opportunity through education and their investment in the next generation of business leaders.

In faculty news, I am also pleased to announce tenure and promotion for the following scholars:
