Staff/ Faculty Parking FAQ

Stephenville/ Fort Worth/ Waco/ Bryan

Parking Permit Cost:

  • For Stephenville and Fort Worth campuses, the annual faculty/staff parking permit cost is $400.
  • Monthly payroll deduction options are available, dividing the cost over 12 months.
  • Stephenville semester permits are available for $200 per semester.
  • Waco and Bryan campuses do not require parking permits.

Parking Permit Registration:

  • Permits for Stephenville and Fort Worth can be obtained through the Tarleton State University Parking Portal.
  • Permits are prorated at the time of purchase.
  • You can register for a Parking Permit by logging into the Parking Portal, selecting the appropriate permit, and linking your vehicle to the permit. Nothing will be due at the time of checkout, if you choose payroll deduction.

Service-Connected Veteran parking

  • Veterans who possess a minimum of a 40% service-connected disability rating are eligible for a parking permit at no cost to them.. To obtain this permit, they must present their official rating letter at the Parking office.
  • It is the veteran’s individual responsibility to initiate contact with the Parking office annually or each long semester if student to renew or acquire their no-cost parking permit, ensuring continued eligibility.
  • Vehicles displaying Disabled Veteran (DV) license plates are required to also exhibit a valid ADA placard to utilize designated ADA accessible parking spaces. This dual requirement ensures proper allocation of accessible parking.

Parking Spot Guarantee:

  • A parking permit does not guarantee a parking spot.
  • All parking lots operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Green all-permit lots are available in Stephenville.

Parking Permit Requirement:

  • A parking permit is required to park on campus in Stephenville and Fort Worth.
  • Citations will be issued for parking without a permit.
  • A parking permit is required to park at all campuses that require permit fees unless you choose to us ParkMobile.
  • Waco and Bryan do not require parking permits.

 Motorcycle, Bicycle, and Scooter Parking:

  • Motorcycles and mopeds require a parking permit at a discounted rate on campuses that require permits.
  • Bicycles may be registered with University Police, but registration is not mandatory.
  • Waco and Bryan do not require parking permits for motorcycles, bicycles, or scooters.

Inter-Campus Parking Access:

  • A parking permit grants access to park at any Tarleton campus that requires a permit (Stephenville, Fort Worth).
  • For infrequent visits to campuses requiring permits from Waco or Bryan campuses
  • For frequent visits to campuses requiring permits from Waco or Bryan campuses, it is recommended that a permit be purchased or plan to pay through ParkMobile daily or hourly rates.
