Refunds and Tuition and Fees Policy
This policy pertains to all currently enrolled Tarleton State University Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Medicine students who cease attendance in the program for any reason other than dismissal. It is the student’s responsibility to inform the Tarleton MMSc-PAM program, the Office of the Registrar and the Office of Business Services of their intention to withdraw from the program.
Tarleton State University is a State of Texas agency. The refund policy is not determined by the University, but by the statute outlined in Section 54.006 of the Texas Higher Education Code. Refunding of applicable tuition and fees for complete withdrawals will be made under the withdraw refund schedule.
The percentage of refund is based on the total tuition and mandatory and incidental fees assessed, not on the amount paid. Unless the student withdraws completely from school prior to the first official class day, the student is responsible for a percentage of the total tuition and mandatory and incidental fees assessed.

Effective Withdrawal Date is the date the withdrawal is reported and recorded in the Registrar’s Office.
Note: For refund purposes, class days are determined by the calendar, not by the number of class meetings. As an example, if a semester starts on Monday, Thursday of that week is considered the 4th class day for all classes.
Additional Expenses
In keeping with its mission, the program has established clinical partnerships in rural communities throughout Texas and Oklahoma. These rural clinical rotations offer learners practical, hands-on experience in medically underserved areas, providing unique opportunities to develop valuable skills for their future practice. Please see the Clinical Phase Handbook for more information regarding clinical rotation assignments.
Learners are responsible for expenses associated with laptop computers, transportation, housing, and meals during their tenure with the program. Please see Policy for Learner Travel to Required Rotation Sites (A3.14j) https://www.tarleton.edu/pam/program-polices/
Although these costs are not part of the Tarleton State University MMSc PAM program tuition and fees, they have been included in the financial aid package to ensure learners receive aid for these additional costs. https://www.tarleton.edu/finaid/cost/graduate/
