Texan Orientation

All incoming students are required to attend Texan Orientation.

At Orientation, you will register for your first semester of classes, get your official Tarleton student ID, and check out your first residence hall. You will have the chance to meet with departments like financial aid, admissions, and housing to take care of your other enrollment steps.

  • Pro Tip: We recommend completing your TSI assessment before attending Texan Orientation to make the most out of your time with your Academic Advisor. Visit our TSI page for more information.
  • Let’s talk about the cost of Texan Orientation!
    • Students do not pay to attend, but guests 3 years or older are charged a $50 fee to cover session materials, lunch, snacks, water throughout the day, a guest bag with Tarleton gear, exclusive promotional offers from community partners, and administrative costs of the day.
    • If you plan to bring anyone under the age of 3, there is no need to account for them here as they do not pay a fee and do not count toward your guest max.
