The Department of Sport Professions provides opportunities for students interested in physical education, coaching, sport management, and other careers in sport and recreation. Dedicated faculty and students work together in environments that are conducive to learning, with special emphasis placed on application.
The Department of Sports Science houses four undergraduate degrees and one graduate degree. These concentrations serve students who aspire to a wide variety of different careers. Examples include:
- Physical Education Teacher Education
- Coaching Sports (K-12 environment with teacher certification)
- Coaching and sports Administration (club/select, college, professional)
- Administration of Recreation/Fitness Programs (public, private, college campus)
