Getting Started

We’re excited that you’re considering joining our vibrant community of scholars at Tarleton State University! Honors College offers a unique opportunity to enrich your academic journey through small, interactive classes, personalized advising, and a close-knit group of motivated peers. Our program is designed to engage and support you, helping you grow both academically and personally.

As you prepare to apply, please review the admission requirements on this page and gather any necessary documents. A non-refundable $20 application fee is required to complete your submission. You can save your progress and return to your application anytime.

Admission to the Honors College is competitive, and space is limited. We encourage you to apply early so your application can receive full consideration. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so submitting sooner can improve your chances.

Once submitted, we’ll carefully review your application and keep you informed every step of the way. We can’t wait to see all the great things you’ll accomplish as part of the Honors College!

Spring 2026 Deadlines

  • Applications are accepted now through November 15th to begin the Spring 2026 term. Submitting your application by this deadline ensures time to register for classes and prepare for the upcoming semester.

Fall 2026 Deadlines

  • Applications are accepted from August 1st through July 31st. To ensure your application is reviewed on time, please submit it by the priority deadline of May 15th.
  • Presidential Honors Program: If you are applying for this special program, the deadline is April 15th, with a priority deadline of January 15th. Students who are selected for an interview to participate in the Presidential Honors Program will be notified via email to schedule their interview.

TSI Requirement:

Applicants must also be TSI complete in Math, Reading, and Writing.

Note for Homeschooled Students:

If you are homeschooled and do not have a class rank, we will consider your high school GPA and standardized test scores for eligibility.
