RECOGNIZING ANNUAL GENEROSITY
At Tarleton State University, every story of generosity begins with belief: a belief in students, in possibility and in the power of community. Before a gift is ever made, there is someone who has been encouraged, challenged, welcomed or inspired, someone who hopes their experience will ignite opportunity for another Tarleton State student.
Texan True honors the alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff and community partners who carry this belief forward through consistent annual generosity. These supporters invest in the future of Tarleton State year after year, knowing their generosity shapes opportunities for students they may never meet and builds a foundation for lasting impact.
Supporters who have made gifts in each of the three most recent fiscal years (September 1–August 31) are recognized as Texan True, celebrated for their unwavering loyalty, commitment and belief in what Tarleton State can achieve.
Through their steadfast support, these individuals are not just making gifts. They are building a legacy and creating a culture where generosity is cultivated, shared and passed from one generation of Tarleton State Texans to the next.
How do I receive Texan True recognition?
Make a gift of any size to Tarleton State University for three consecutive fiscal years (Sept. 1 –Aug. 31) to automatically receive recognition in Texan True.
What types of recognition are available?
Texan True recognition tiers represent your total years of giving.
3+ years of giving
5+ years of giving
10+ years of giving
15+ years of giving
20+ years of giving
25+ years of giving
30+ years of giving
40+ years of giving
What do I receive as Texan True?
Each year, you’ll receive a special recognition communication and a recognition tier decal. At each designated milestone, from 3+ through 40+ years of consecutive giving, you’ll receive a commemorative challenge coin celebrating the lasting impact of your faithful support.
What happens if I miss a year?
If you miss a fiscal year of giving, your Texan True recognition will pause. Simply make a gift during the following three fiscal years to resume your giving journey and be welcomed back at the tier that reflects your total years of giving.
Which gifts count toward my recognition?
Most gifts to any college, school, program, center, institute or group at Tarleton State will establish or sustain your recognition in Texan True.
