The Faculty Advisory Council will represent the Tarleton State University faculty in all matters of general faculty interest raised by senators, senate committees, the university president, petitions from other administrative bodies or officials, full-time faculty members, part-time teaching personnel with no administrative responsibilities, and librarians. The Faculty Advisory Council is the principal liaison between the faculty and the Academic Council and/or the university president. The Faculty Advisory Council will act for and on behalf of the faculty and will express the faculty’s consensus position on all matters brought before it.

The Faculty Advisory Council at Tarleton State University affirms its commitment to the free expression of ideas in the classroom, despite the presence of firearms. We encourage our faculty to confront ‘sensitive topics’ boldly and openly.
