The Engineering Technology department has a rich history that dates back to 1917, when we first began as a manual arts training program. Over the years, our offerings have continuously evolved, adapting to the changing demands of the nation’s workforce and industry.

Engineering Technology centers on the practical application of engineering principles and scientific knowledge to design, develop, test, and improve products, processes, and systems. This field emphasizes hands-on skills and applied techniques to implement and manage existing technologies, rather than focusing on theoretical innovation or primary research. Engineering technology professionals serve as a vital link between engineering and production, using their technical expertise to ensure that innovative concepts are efficiently transformed into real-world solutions.

Today, our undergraduate degree programs provide both recent high school graduates and working adults with valuable, in-demand skills sought by employers across a range of industries.
