External Research Opportunities for Undergraduate Students
REU at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi
This REU program will provide undergraduate students with vigorous, motivating, and above all quality collaborative research experience in the areas of stochastic and deterministic partial differential equations and numerical analysis with an emphasis on the computational aspects.
The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley REU Program
The Department of Computing Sciences at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will host an NSF REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) program on applied computing research in unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The program offers a unique opportunity to undergraduate students nation-wide to participate in research in UAS and their applications.
PATHS-UP REU
PATHS-UP provides summer research experiences for undergraduates (REU) to work at one of our four partner institutions (TAMU, UCLA, RICE, FIU). Each student will complete a research project in one of the four PATHS-UP thrust areas with the goal of developing enabling technologies and advanced engineered systems toward better health for under-resourced populations.
University of North Texas
We fund programs that create educational Opportunities, supporting various participants in building valuable experiences in their field. These hands-on learning experiences cover a wide range of disciplines but all align with our core mission: to further progress in science and engineering through investments in people.
Texas A&M Materials Science and Engineering
This signature program provides undergraduate students across the U.S. with hands-on research experience, professional development, and mentorship — all conducted remotely. Student commitment to the program is 40 hours per week during the summer program. Participants receive a $5,000 summer stipend and support for one in-person site visit during the program.
REU opportunity at Louisiana State University
This Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) project is a ten week program where students work collaboratively on a wide variety of computational science projects. The Center for Computation & Technology (CCT) at Louisiana State University (LSU) provides an ideal setting for the REU student to become familiar with interdisciplinary research.
