Recognizing Excellence in Criminal Justice
Alpha Phi Sigma is the national Criminal Justice Honor Society dedicated to recognizing academic achievement among undergraduate and graduate Criminal Justice students and Juris Doctor students.
The organization promotes academic excellence, community service, educational leadership, and unity while providing students with an opportunity to be recognized for strong academic performance and commitment to the field.
Alpha Phi Sigma is a certified member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is affiliated with the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS).

Membership Requirements
Students must have completed at least one-third of the total hours required for graduation before becoming eligible for membership.
Undergraduate Students
- Maintain at least a 3.2 GPA in Criminal Justice courses.
- Rank in the top 35% of your class.
- Complete at least four Criminal Justice courses.
- Have a declared Criminal Justice major or minor.
Graduate Students
- Maintain at least a 3.4 GPA in Criminal Justice courses.
- Maintain at least a 3.4 overall GPA.
- Complete at least four Criminal Justice courses.
