Message from the Dean

Welcome to the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Tarleton State University. We provide the premier hands-on undergraduate educational experience in Texas with a focus on both agricultural and natural resources.

The College is comprised of 45 faculty and over 2,400 students in three academic departments:

Our graduates are in high demand by business, government and industry due to our outstanding faculty, superior classroom and laboratory facilities, and our personal, hands-on approach to teaching and learning.

Mastering academic challenges is only part of a successful college experience. Developing interpersonal, leadership and social skills is also essential. To hone those skills, students can participate in numerous student organizations, conduct research under the mentorship of a faculty member or join one of our competitive teams. Add the many other extracurricular opportunities on and around campus and the essentials for becoming a society-ready graduate await you in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Tarleton State University.

Our many partnerships with industry, the Center of Agribusiness Excellence, the Texas Institute for Applied Environmental Research, and the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center, all located in Stephenville, make for varied and exciting undergraduate and graduate research and employment opportunities.

I hope that you will take some time and learn all that the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources has to offer. Please check out the rest of our web resources to find specific information and opportunities. Feel free to contact us at 254-968-9227 or [email protected].
