Welcome to Tarleton State University!

LOCATION: Ag Mechanics Building, Room 119 (please note – this location is at the Tarleton Agriculture Center, away from the main campus. See map)
New Faculty Orientation is intended for those joining Tarleton’s faculty team for the upcoming academic year as well as those who have joined sometime within the last academic year (after last year’s orientation). The day will include:
- important onboarding information from People and Culture, Academic Affairs, and the Center for Educational Excellence
- Q&A with new faculty who have joined Tarleton in the last few years
- a chance to get your Texan Card Faculty ID
- professional photograph for department websites, LinkedIn, etc.
- opportunities to visit representatives from various campus resources
Participants from all Tarleton locations are strongly encouraged to attend New Faculty Orientation in person to receive maximum benefit. Zoom attendance will be available for those unable to attend in person.
New Faculty Orientation also serves as the kickoff for the New Faculty Academy which will take place throughout the academic year with timely information related to the faculty role. Participation in the New Faculty Academy is highly encouraged as it will help build a strong foundation for your career at Tarleton.
