Looking for help with your writing? The University Writing Center has you covered. We’re located on the 2nd Floor of the O.A. Grant Humanities Building. Our writing consultants look forward to helping you strengthen your writing and rhetorical knowledge to become more effective and confident writers.
The University Writing Center is a free support service for those who need assistance at any stage of the writing process. Writing consultants work with writers from all classes, disciplines, and degree plans to strengthen needed writing skills. Undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty can make an appointment through the EAB Navigate portal for either face-to-face or synchronous Zoom sessions during our normal service hours. Writers may also email their work to the Writing Center through our Online Tutorial Service: writingcenter@tarleton.edu. When sending your documents via email, please make sure you send the file as a word document (.doc, or .docx) file. If you send a share link or a PDF file, we will ask you to resend it as a word document. Additionally, be sure to include your UID#, your assignment details and the class for which the paper is due. If you have a rubric, it’s useful to send that to us as well.

| The latest appointment available is 4:30 because appointments last 30 minutes. We also offer drop in evening appointments between 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m Mon., Tues., Wed. and Thurs. nights in the Dick Smith Library. We also offer virtual appointments between 6:00-8:00 p.m. When you schedule you appointments either at the kiosk in the Writing Center or via the EAB Navigate portal you can select whether or not they want a face-to-face meeting or a virtual meeting.
