Volunteer Information

If you are interested in volunteering, please see below for requirements. If you think you meet the requirements, please attend a volunteer training. See the upcoming events schedule or below for the next volunteer training opportunity.

To sign up for a volunteer training, email ttr@tarleton.edu with your preferred training date. You will receive a confirmation email with a paperwork packet.

Available Positions for Spring 2026

• Horse Leader
• Sidewalker

Requirements:

• Volunteers will be expected to commit to assisting with 10 weeks of lessons (Week of February 9, 2026 through Week of April 27, 2026) . No lessons will be held on March 16, February 24, and April 3.
  • If a volunteer cannot commit to the full 10 weeks, they may attend the volunteer training and be listed as a substitute for cases of sickness or other unexpected events.
• Must be at least 14 years old (unless volunteering with a parent)
• Complete Volunteer Application
• Background Check
• Complete Volunteer Training and Orientation
• Follow Program Policies
• Positive Attitude & Willingness to Help
