Texan Therapeutic Riding

Welcome to Texan Therapeutic Riding!

Texan Therapeutic Riding is an equine-assisted services program at Tarleton State University that uses horseback riding for its many therapeutic benefits. We are a Premier Accredited Center through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH International). Our program provides participants with positive physical, mental, social, and emotional benefits in a fun and engaging environment. Therapeutic riding has been shown to improve self-confidence, self-awareness, and discipline. Equine-assisted services can be beneficial for many types of disabilities and special needs, including but not limited to, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, head injuries, intellectual or developmental disability, stroke, emotional disturbances, developmental delays, down syndrome, and spina bifida.

In addition to serving our community, we are dedicated to providing quality therapeutic riding at a price anyone can afford. Contact us for our current rates and to check for scholarship availability for those needing financial assistance.
