We are committed to helping you take the next step in your career journey. Our workshops are designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to excel in your job search, from crafting the perfect resume to preparing for interviews and building your professional network.
Presentation topics include:
- Career Success Kickstart: Learn about the wide range of resources and support the Career Center offers to help students explore career options, build professional skills, and connect with opportunities. This session provides an overview of services such as resume reviews, online platforms, career fairs & more.
- Stand Out On Paper (and Online): Discover how to create a polished resume and cover letter that highlights your skills, experience, and accomplishments. This session covers formatting tips, common mistakes to avoid, and how to tailor your documents to specific opportunities.
- From Hello to Hired: Gain practical tips for making a strong impression in interviews, whether virtual or in person. This session covers common interview questions, how to craft strong responses, and strategies for post-interview follow up.
- Finding Your Fit In Todays Job Market: Learn how to strategically search for jobs or internships using tools like Handshake, LinkedIn, and other resources. This presentation also covers networking, employer research, and managing application timelines.
- Career Fair 101: Set yourself up for success at career fairs by learning how to research employers, develop your elevator pitch, and follow up effectively. This session provides practical tips to help yo make meaningful connections with recruiters.
- Dining for Success: (requires at least 2 months advance notice for meal service & must be paid for by the organization requesting the presentation)
