Summer Camps @ Tarleton State

Ag Camp

This introduction to Ag Camp offers two different themes for kids age 5-12. Choose from Agriculture Around the World - learn about agricultural practices across the globe or Agriculture in Jungle - discover how farming works in dense and vibrant ecosystems.

All State Choir Camp

All State Choir Camp is an exciting 3-day overnight event for students in grades 9-12! Campers will attend rehearsals, participate in evening activities, a talent show and end of camp performance.

Aquaponics

For youths age 8 to 16 years old; will be held at the Animal and Plant Science building (APSC 144) and Aquaponics Hydrotron at the Tarleton Agricultural Center on College Farm Rd.

Band Camp: Middle School

Enjoy a fun and educational summer band camp with Tarleton State University! This 5-day overnight camp is available for middle school students in grades 6-8.

Band Camp: High School

The Tarleton State 5-day overnight summer camp is available for high school students in grades 9-12. Students will practice music, participate in auditions and participate in an end of camp performance!

Baseball

Tarleton State Baseball Camp is a one-day event packed with training and instruction for baseball players of all skill levels!

Basketball (Men)

Advance your basketball skills at Tarleton State’s one-day Men's Basketball Camp! At camp, you will focus on fundamentals, such as dribbling, passing, shooting and conditioning.

Basketball (Women)

Tarleton State Women’s Basketball is hosting a one-day camp for girls looking to improve their skills! Campers will work on agility, ball handling skills, shooting and much more.

Cheer

Designed for young athletes and spirit teams of all abilities. Campers will be guided through drills to improve understanding and performance while spirit teams will learn new routines.

Colorguard

Join the Tarleton State Colorguard Team for a 3-day overnight event! Campers will attend dance class, learn flag and weapon technique, and perform a routine on the final day.

Digital Audio & Video

Build hands-on experience at Tarleton State’s Digital Audio and Video Camp. Students will gain experience in video editing, creating music, touring studios and much more!

Drumline

Drumline Summer Camp offers campers the opportunity to enhance drumming skills and technique. This immersive 4-day overnight camp is available for students entering grades 9-12.

Engineering Camp

Offered through the Mayfield College of Engineering, this 3-day summer camp is an exciting opportunity for incoming 6th–12th grade students to explore the fascinating worlds of computer science, environmental engineering, and engineering technology.

Fine Arts

At Tarleton State’s Fine Arts Camp, students in grades K-7 will participate in dance, music, theatre and visual arts activities each day.

Football

Tarleton State Football is hosting several exciting camps for students of various grade levels. Campers will participate in position specific drills, work on fundamental training and scrimmage to practice game-like scenarios.

Kids Camp

Texanville Kids Camp is a day camp hosted by Campus Recreation in partnership with the City of Stephenville. It is open to ages 6-12. Campers will have an opportunity to utilize our recreation center, climb our wall, swim and enjoy other activities Monday-Friday during the summer. Field trips and other activities are included on some weeks. Prices include activities for an entire week.

Soccer

Advance you soccer skills at Tarleton State’s one-day Soccer Camp! During camp, students will learn ball dribbling skills, ball control and position specific training.

Softball

At Tarleton State’s one-day softball camp, campers can improve their skills through coaching, drills and scrimmages. Players of all levels will develop their hitting, fielding and pitching techniques.

TRIO – Talent Search

TRIO - Educational Talent Search (ETS) is for first-generation college hopeful students interested in free opportunities for college and career exploration.

TRIO – Upward Bound

A 5-week residential program providing invaluable opportunities to experience educational learning in a college environment.

Swim Lessons

Tarleton Campus Recreation is excited to conduct a swim lesson program to help the youth in our community learn how to swim and be comfortable in the water. Our lessons are separated into age groups from 6 months-3 years; 4-5 years and 6 years & older. Prices include a 30-minute per day session that includes 8 sessions over a 2-week span.

Theatre

For six days, students entering grades 7-12 will gain the full Tarleton State Texan Theater experience. Students will participate in acting, musical theatre, dance, makeup and so much more.

Volleyball (Women)

Tarleton State is hosting a one-day Volleyball Camp for players grades 1-12. Campers will practice their skills in passing, setting, serving and basic rotation on the court.
