Time Warning Procedures:
There will be at least two house-timers and the backstage stage manager/timekeeper documenting the running time. The stage manager will also time the set and strike. The site crew will be responsible for flying in the upstage black or scrim and legs. (This will not count as a part of your 7-minute set.) You will be allowed to move all your items to the stage prior to the timed 7 minute set up. We will operate by putting all set pieces in the center of the stage before starting the 7-minute set up. The 7-minute strike will have you move unit set pieces back to their storage area and your other set pieces back to center. After the time is called, you can then put your set pieces back in your box. The stage manager will give audible calls for set, strike, and 60 second start. She will give the 15- and 35-minute warning to your designated stage manner who will need to respond with “35 minute warning received.”
Awards and Critiques:
After the final performance- Adjudicators will complete their ballots and award selections and submit them to the CM for ranking tabulation.
Adjudicators shall then draw for critique assignments. Simultaneous critiques will occur in the house of the auditorium. Since the adjudicators are not aware of which schools are advancing, they will critique each assigned show as though it is not the last performance for each school. At the conclusion of the critiques, judges will verify their respective rankings on the master ballot are correct. Then the awards ceremony will commence.
