Tarleton – Fort Worth Campus

Tarleton State University has a long history of serving Fort Worth and the greater North Texas region. Tarleton’s presence in Fort Worth dates to 1978, when Medical Laboratory Science was among the first programs established to help meet the growing need for highly trained healthcare professionals in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex.

Over the decades, Tarleton expanded its Fort Worth presence significantly, adding undergraduate and graduate programs across healthcare, education, business, counseling, engineering, criminal justice, and other disciplines. What began as an outreach location has evolved into a major component of Tarleton State University’s commitment to serving students, employers, and communities throughout North Texas.

Today, the Medical Laboratory Science program continues this legacy at Tarleton State’s new location on the Texas A&M–Fort Worth campus in downtown Fort Worth. Located at 300 E. 15th Street, the modern facility provides advanced instructional and laboratory spaces for education, hands-on training, and research while strengthening connections with healthcare organizations and clinical laboratories throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth region.

From its beginnings in Fort Worth nearly five decades ago to its new home in the heart of downtown, Medical Laboratory Science remains an important part of Tarleton’s history and its commitment to preparing the healthcare workforce of the future.
