Mission
The mission of the Tarleton State University Agriculture Center is to provide a progressive, hands-on instructional laboratory environment that reflects today’s agricultural industry. By complementing classroom learning with real-world experiences, the Agriculture Center equips students with the knowledge, skills, and practical understanding needed to build successful careers and become responsible leaders in agriculture and their communities.
Goals
1. Environmental Stewardship: Operate all facilities in a manner that maintains or improves the quality of our environment while making sure all applicable rules are met.
2. Student Experiences: Provide a safe and educational work environment for student workers;
3. Facility and Resource Maintenance: Maintain and update facilities, equipment, and genetics to remain current with industry technology and accommodate teaching, research, and outreach activities.
