Professional Biography
Dr. Lisandro Entio’s experience includes research on the ecology of cultivated and native grasslands, particularly those associated with ruminant production, as well as environmental health topics such as (i) carbon sequestration through the application of biochar as a soil amendment, (ii) agricultural waste reutilization through the use of dairy manure as a soil amendment, (iii) phytoremediation with forages, and (iv) the characterization of native forage grass ecotypes for the reclamation of arid–semiarid eroded soils and saline/sodic-affected soils. More broadly, his work seeks to understand the interactions among plants, soils, soil amendments, animals, and the environment through a Systems Ecology approach.
