Why Partner with Tarleton Today?
Our courses follow a unique dual enrollment model designed to expand access to authentic college coursework while providing dedicated support for both students and teachers.
- No TSI Requirement: Students do not need to be TSI complete to enroll
- Affordable Tuition and FAST Participation: Course fees are $50 per semester credit hour for the 2026-2027 academic year. Students who qualify for the FAST program receive eligible courses at no cost to the student or district.
- No College Credentialing Required for Teachers: High school teachers do not need to meet the traditional dual credit credentialing requirements to participate.
- Extensive Training and Faculty Support: Participating teachers may receive up to 48 hours of content -specific CPE credit, along with ongoing support from a dedicated Tarleton State course faculty member.
- Aligned High School and College Curriculum: Courses are designed to address both Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and college student learning outcomes while matching the length of the corresponding high school course.

Who can enroll in Tarleton Today dual enrollment courses?
Any high school student attending a participating district is eligible, and there is no TSI requirement to enroll.
How much does it cost for students to participate?
Course fees are $50 per semester credit hour (example: ENGL 1301 is a three credit hour course so the cost would be $150). Students in the FAST program may qualify for eligible courses at no cost.
What kind of support do the high school teachers receive?
Participating teachers can receive up to 48 hours of content-specific professional development, plus ongoing guidance from Tarleton State course faculty.
Can students choose whether to accept college credit?
Yes, upon successful completion, students have the flexibility to accept of decline the college credit earned.
