Requesting Data
Texan Analytics offers a range of standard and recurring reports, including Undergraduate suspension, Daily Admissions Comparisons, FTIC Comparisons, athletic reports, and Enrollment reports.
If you do not find the data you seek in Texan Facts or Texan Analytics, Tarleton Administrators, Faculty, and Staff may request data using our data request form.
Here Are Some Guidelines That May Help You Clarify Your Request:
When requesting data from Institutional Data and Analytics (IDA), following best practices can help ensure you receive accurate, timely, and helpful information. Here are some key recommendations:
- Plan ahead: When making a request, please allow TWO WEEKS to complete your request.
- Define Your Purpose: Clearly articulate why you need the data. This helps IDA understand the context and relevance, allowing them to provide more tailored information.
- Be Specific: Specify exactly what data you need. Include details such as the data type (quantitative or qualitative), the specific timeframe, and any variables of interest.
- Use Clear Language: Avoid jargon or overly technical terms that may confuse the IR staff. Aim for clarity to facilitate better understanding.
- Provide Context: If applicable, include background information on your project or research question to help IR understand the significance of your request.
Following these best practices can enhance communication with Institutional Analytics and improve the chances of efficiently receiving the needed data.
A glossary is available for any terms you may be unsure about.
If you are completing a survey or other form, please attach a copy to your data request to help us understand your request more definitively.
Once your request has been received, it will be reviewed and assigned to a member of the IDA staff. If clarification is needed, you will be contacted to discuss your request.
