Your New Hire Checklist
As you begin your journey at Tarleton State, please keep an eye out for crucial emails coming from our Talent Acquisition team. There are your onboarding emails and they contain essential information you will need to get started.
Before You Begin
Keep an eye on your email for onboarding instructions from the Talent Acquisition team. Completing these steps promptly helps ensure your orientation and start date remain on schedule.
Complete Background Check
- Watch for email from noreply@us.fadv.co
- All offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory results.
Complete Employment Verification (Form I-9)
- Receive email from perfectcompliance.com
- Complete Section 1 online
- Bring original documents to orientation for Section 2 verification
- List of acceptable documents can be found on the USCIS website.
Welcome to Tarleton State!
- Receive email from Tarleton State Human Resources that contains information needed in preparation for your first day.
- Email will include information regarding your New Employee Orientation – Date, Time, Location, and Parking.
- You will need to bring your original I-9 documents to provide to our Talent Acquisition team. Photos or copies of your original documents will not be accepted.
- Attached documents in email

- Temporary Parking Permit
- NTNET Credentials
Complete Workday Tasks
- Use your NTNET credentials to log in and complete all of your onboarding tasks in your Workday inbox. Single Sign On (SSO)
Dress Code
As you prepare for your first day, be sure to check with your department for any specific dress code guidelines. Note that dress code requirements may vary, especially for student-facing roles. When in doubt, consider your audience and dress accordingly.
