Our Partnership in Action
Through this partnership, Tarleton State University hosts several annual events that strengthen the connection between Scouting America and our campus community:
- Annual Partner Breakfast: Hosted on campus, this fundraiser brings together community leaders and supporters. Texas Trail Council leadership shares the organization’s impact and service to the community, highlighting its continued importance across generations.
- Annual Merit Badge Seminar: Tarleton State faculty and staff collaborate with the Texas Trail Council to teach merit badge courses, providing Scouts with access to academic expertise and hands-on learning experiences.
These events reflect our shared dedication to education, service, and youth development.
About the Texas Trail Council of Scouting America
The Texas Trail Council of Scouting America serves boys and girls from kindergarten through age 20 across the communities it supports. Through a variety of Scouting programs, the council provides opportunities for youth to grow, lead, and serve.
The council supports:
- Cub Scout Packs
- Scout Troops
- Venture Crews
- Adult volunteer training
- Insurance protection
- Camp operations
- Council-wide programs and activities
For more than a century, Scouting America has been a cornerstone of youth development, offering a safe, structured, and supportive environment where young people can learn, grow, and thrive.

The organization also fosters camaraderie and emphasizing teamwork and cooperation while strengthening relational and leadership skills that carry into adulthood.
