TAA Honoree Categories and Descriptions

Distinguished Alumni
Awarded to an alum who has received significant recognition through career, community service, or leadership position(s).

Outstanding Young Alumni
Awarded to an alum, under the age of 40, who has received significant recognition through career, community service, or leadership position(s).

Distinguished Faculty or Staff
Awarded to members of the faculty or staff of Tarleton State University, who amongst other considerations, have enjoyed a distinguished career while serving at Tarleton State and/or may have received exceptional recognition if no longer a member of the faculty or staff. Special consideration may be given for exceptional longevity at Tarleton. Honorees must be willing to attend the Presidential Gala or send a representative.

In consideration of special cases, the nomination may be made for a posthumous award.

Distinguished Friend
Awarded to an individual, married couple or organization who has brought recognition to Tarleton or who has provided significant support to Tarleton or the Tarleton Alumni Association.
