STEPHENVILLE, Texas — The Tarleton State University Department of English and Languages will host a Literary Reading and Q&A featuring author Stacey Swann on Monday, April 13, at 6 p.m. in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Gallery.
The event will include a reading from Swann’s work followed by a Q&A session with attendees.
Swann is the author of Olympus, Texas (Doubleday), a Good Morning America Book Club selection and Indie Next Pick that was also longlisted for The Center for Fiction First Novel Prize. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from Texas State University and was a Stegner Fellow at Stanford University. Her work has appeared in LitHub, Electric Literature, Texas Highways, Epoch and other publications.
In addition to her literary work, Swann previously served as an editor for American Short Fiction. Her next novel, also to be published by Doubleday, is expected in 2027 and explores Texas politics.
This event reflects the Department of English and Languages ongoing efforts to connect Tarleton State students with accomplished writers and deepen engagement with literature.
