AI Courses Through Grow with Google and ACUE

Build practical AI skills through a structured learning experience designed for faculty and staff across The Texas A&M University System.

The Grow with Google initiative is a collaborative effort supported by the National Association of Higher Education System Heads (NASH) and coordinated by the Office of Academic Affairs at The Texas A&M University System.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming how work is done across higher education and beyond. The AI Learnathon provides a structured, supportive environment for faculty and staff to move from awareness to action.

During the AI Learnathon, faculty and staff will have open access to complete the Grow with Google courses on AI Essentials and Prompting Essentials. To obtain an account, please complete the registration form below.

How to Get Started with Grow with Google

Step 1: Complete the Registration Form

To get access to the Grow with Google courses, start by filling out the registration form.

Enter your information and submit the form to request access to the AI Learnathon courses.

Important: Use your Tarleton email address to ensure your registration is properly processed.

Step 2: Check Your Email for Access

1. Navigate to the email invitation. Keep in mind that the subject/sender will NOT say “Grow with Google”- instead it is from Coursera.

2. Click the blue “Join now” button.

3. This will open the Google Certificate page in your browser. Click on the “Log In” button in the top right corner.

Important: Be sure to check your spam or junk folder if you don’t see the email within a few minutes, and use the same email you registered with to avoid any access issues.

Step 3: Create Your Account (Use “Sign Up,” Not Login)

4. This will open a pop-up login screen. Navigate to the bottom of the box and click on the “Sign up” hyperlink.

Important: The top of the box will prompt you to log in with Tarleton State University. This does not work. Instead, create a new account using your Tarleton email.

5. Enter your Tarleton email and other information, check off the box for Terms of Use, and click the “Join for Free” box.

Step 4: Verify Your Email Address

6. You will be prompted to verify your email address. Click the blue box that says “Resend verification email”

7. Navigate back to your email. You should now have an email with the subject “Action Required” from Coursera. Scroll down and click the blue “Confirm email address” box.

8. This will redirect you to the web browser. Click “Back to Coursera”

Step 5: Join the Program and Start Exploring Courses

9. A pop-up box that says “Join the learning program” will pop up. Under this, click the blue box that says “Join program

10. You have now joined the AI Learnathon program. You can use the “Explore” tab in the upper left-hand corner of the screen to navigate to the various AI courses that are available.
