Professional Biography

Dr. Edward Webb’s teaching and research focus on production animal physiology. His research focuses specifically on the effects of environmental and management factors such dietary factors and growth modifiers on animal growth, adaptation and reproduction physiology, and related effects on sustainable animal production and the quality of animal products. The research also focuses on ways to improve the efficiency of animal production in resource constrained environments in an ethical and environmentally acceptable way. His research focuses on a variety of livestock and wildlife species, with projects across Africa, Europe and the United States.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Webb has published over 140 peer-reviewed manuscripts, authored 20 chapters or books, written over 150 conference papers, and mentored 85 M.S. and 24 Ph.D. students.
