Dear Students, Faculty, and Friends of the College,

We are proud to announce the launch of the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business Student-Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) at Tarleton State University, established in partnership with the Tarleton State University Foundation.

This initiative provides students with the opportunity to actively manage a live investment portfolio by applying classroom knowledge in finance, accounting and economics to real-world investment decisions. Guided by faculty mentors and industry advisors, student managers will analyze markets, construct portfolios and report outcomes to the college’s SMIF Committee and the Foundation.

This fund is administered in collaboration with the Tarleton State University Foundation, ensuring sound oversight, transparency, and alignment with the University’s long-term commitment to student success and fiscal responsibility.

Through this partnership, Tarleton State continues to deliver on its promise of hands-on, high-impact learning experiences that prepare students to lead in the financial and business sectors.
