Deborah Sibilia

Biography

Dr. Deborah A. Sibila is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi (TAMUCC). She received her Ph.D. in criminal justice from Sam Houston State University (SHSU) in 2016.

Prior to starting her academic career, Dr. Sibila was employed for 22 years as a federal law enforcement agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. She retired from DEA as a Supervisory Special Agent in July 2009. Dr. Sibila also served four years active duty as a Military Police Officer in the U.S. Army.
Dr. Sibila’s research interests include policing, drug policy, and immigrant and gender offending/victimization related issues.
