Important Hiring Dates and Holiday Deadlines
December 1 Benefits Eligible New Employee Orientation
To ensure that all pre-employment tasks and onboarding activities are completed on time for the December 1 Benefits Eligible New Employee Orientation, the following deadlines must be met:
– Verbal offers must be extended, accepted, and forwarded to HR by Tuesday, November 19.
– All hiring actions within the Office of Academic Affairs require approval from the Provost forwarded to HR by Tuesday, November 19.
Staff & Faculty Hire Deadlines
For the January 5, 2026 NEO, all candidate information must be submitted to HR by December 12, 2025. This includes verbal acceptances for staff, signed offer letters for faculty and any required departmental approvals. Onboarding must be completed by December 19, 2025.
Student Worker Deadlines
The last student orientation for 2025 will be December 19, 2025. Student hire requests and applications must be submitted by 12pm on December 12, 2025. Requests submitted between December 12-December 19 will have a hire date of January 9, 2026
GAs & Adjunct Faculty Deadlines
Selected candidates must be submitted to HR by December 12, 2025 to allow time for background checks, costing and onboarding by December 19, 2025. This ensures eligibility for the January 5, 2026 orientation and start date.
